Content:
In our handling class, we will work on a course designed by the renowned judge and course designer Kine Eimhjellen. The course will be at a grade 3+ level on a field size of 30 x 15m with around 50 numbers.
We aim to analyse, plan and run the course in different options, as well as comparing these options and analysing mistakes. Kine and I will run this course with our dogs to show different types of dogs with different handling styles.
We will split the content in this class into five different topics:
1. Planning
- Running line of the dog
- Running line of the handler
2. Handling toolbox
- Body aids
- Changes
- Timing
- Speed management
3. Options
- Distance, normal and high-intensity running options
- different solutions with different handling
4. Comparison
- Comparing the three options regarding speed and lines
- Conclusion for the next courses
5. Troubleshooting
- Which mistakes happened?
- Was it a handling mistake, or are there skills missing?
Requirement:
Minimum age: 18 months
Your dog should be familiar with the used obstacles. Also, your dog should be able to run some advanced sequences without feeling overwhelmed or frustrated. I would recommend planning at least three training sessions for this course, so make sure you have the opportunity to train on it several times.
Equipment needed:

- Training field with a minimum of 30 x 15 m
- Dog walk
- 5m tunnel & 3m tunnel (+ tunnel bags)
- Weaves
- 8 jumps
- Numberset would be beneficial
Platform:
Before the class starts, I will create a private Facebook group for all participants where I will provide the content and Active participants can post their videos. I’ll post all content at the start date of the class.
Please note: You cannot participate without an active Facebook account!
