Content:
This online class is about giving your dog an understanding of weave entries. The focus will be on open weave entries, but there will also be a level for closed entries. The goal is to have your dog independently find the weaves and its entry from any angle and finish it correctly without help. In addition, in this class, we will work with distraction and irritation by other obstacles and by yourself, so that your dog learns that the weave entry always has priority.
Requirements:
• Minimum age: 18 months.
• Your dog should already know how to work the weaves. Since we are talking about weave entries, they should need improvement.
• Possibility to train at least 2-3 times a week on the weaves during the online class
Equipment needed:
• Weaves (preferably channel or zigzag weaves)
• Two jumps, possibly a short tunnel
• Clicker (optional)
• Treats
• Toys
The 5 levels:
Level 1: Understanding of the first gate from different positions of the dog
Level 2: Different positions of the handler
Level 3: Irritation and distraction by other obstacles
Level 4: Closed entries and different exits
Level 5: Different exercises to consolidate the weave entries
Platform:
Before the class starts, I will create a private Facebook group for all participants where I will provide the content in text and video form and Active or AuditorPLUS participants can post their videos. I’ll post a new level every 10 days – but don’t stress yourself: You have 10 weeks to complete the entire class.
Please note: You cannot participate without an active Facebook account!
Active:
Active spots are limited to 8 spots. Active participants will be able to view all class content in text and video form, as well as ask general questions about the class and view videos, feedback, and other discussions from Active or AuditorPLUS participants. In addition, active participants can post a maximum of three videos per week, limited to 7 minutes per video, and receive my individual feedback on them during the feedback period described below.
Feedback:
I usually write feedback to your videos within two working days, excluding Sundays. In some cases, you may receive your feedback a little later.
Registration Deadline:
All registrations for Active and AuditorPLUS spots received by February 23 will be considered concurrently and will be treated equally. Auditor spots can still be booked after the start of the class.
